Art by Sarah Ellen Lundy

Lundy is an experimental cross disciplinary artist working primarily in visual media with parallel practices in sound, performance & film & essentially preoccupied with the natural world; her pedagogical work endeavors to generate environmental empathy through creative engagement whilst her expanded studio practice explores the esoteric elements of ecology through a feminist lens; she practices from the Furr Factory Studio in her native South County Sligo, a space she has established in the same building her father once founded in order to operate his Taxidermy craft.

Lundys filmic work has been screened and awarded at festivals and events nationally and internationally and audio work has been featured on RTE Lyric FM as well as published on cassette, CD & vinyl; she has performed as part of the Kaunas EU Capital of

Culture programme with MATTERS Platform for Industrial Culture. She has presented at conferences in Trinity College Dublin for Art In The Anthropocene and at Lusnava Manor Latvia as part of the EUCIDA project in conjunction with Rua Red Arts Centre, Dublin where she completed a residency as well as at a residency at Niederösterreich Austria in association with The Courthouse Gallery and Studios, Westport where she had a solo exhibition. Her work is published in various journals including GORSE & Abridged.
