Mothers•Memories•Magick•Mahabote: A Collage Series by Annabella Pritchard

You may recognise her work from a previous feature in the Black Flowers Arts Journal. A magical style of art that weaves surrealism, mysticism and archetypes. Annabella is currently working on a collage series called - Mothers•Memories•Magick•Mahabote and Black Flowers has been fortunate to be able to showcase and share with you her magical work.

Annabella Pritchard is from Southern California, and started taking photos fifteen years ago to cope with depression and loneliness. Often, her daughter was the subject of her styled images, influenced by the works of Julia Margaret Cameron, Sarah Moon, and Francesca Woodman. Currently, her pictures are digital collages reflecting her interests in surrealism, astrology, Burmese mythology, and Jungian archetypes. She admires the art and stories of Leonora Carrington, Leonor Fini, Remedios Varo, Kay Sage, and Dorothea Tanning, finding them deeply moving. Follow her on Instagram for more of her work.
